Saskatchewan Immigration

Saskatchewan Immigration

Home of the famous Charlottetown Conference of 1864, for which it is known as “the birthplace of Canada.” Prince Edward Island (PEI) is one of the country’s three Maritime Provinces and oldest settlements still reflecting Canada’s heritage. Prince Edward Island (PEI) is the smallest province in Canada. Despite its size, it is one of the most popular destinations for prospective immigrants due to its riches in natural beauty, history and Canadian culture.

Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) is an immigration program that favours foreign nationals who possess the skills and experience needed in the province. Through this program, prospective immigrants with the skills and experience targeted by the province may receive a Saskatchewan Provincial Nomination Certificate, which will allow that foreign national to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence with processing times that are faster than other Canadian immigration classes.

The provincial government selects individuals who wish to establish themselves in the province and contribute to the local economy. Saskatchewan’s program identifies skilled workers, farmers, entrepreneurs, international students and individuals from certain professions in demand, and helps them to settle in Saskatchewan.

The province operates several immigration streams divided among four categories:

  • International Skilled Worker Category
This category accepts applications from skilled workers who plan to live and work in the Province of Saskatchewan.
  • Saskatchewan Work Experience Category
This category is for foreign workers that are currently living and working in Saskatchewan as remote national occupants.
  • Entrepreneur and Farm Category
This category is for individuals who wish to own and actively operate a business or farming operation in Saskatchewan.
  • International Graduate Entrepreneur Category
This category is for international students graduating from eligible post-secondary institutions in Saskatchewan planning to start a business in the province.
