Prince Edward Island continues to prioritize international graduates in latest immigration draw
On February 19, 2026, Prince Edward Island held its latest selection round under the PEI Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP), aligning with the province’s anticipated Invitation to Apply (ITA) schedule.
As in earlier draws this year, PEI prioritized candidates with in-province ties and strong alignment with occupations and priority sectors seen as having high economic impact—with additional emphasis placed on international graduates from select designated learning institutions (DLIs).

Draw results
Prince Edward Island’s latest draw saw 109 provincial nominee candidates receive invitations through its Labour Impact and Express Entry pathways.
The province noted that invitations were extended to individuals working in occupations and priority sectors based on economic impact in the province, which, per the PEI Office of Immigration, includes healthcare, trades, and manufacturing, and other key industries facing labour shortages.
International graduates from the following DLIs were further prioritized in this draw:
University of Prince Edward Island;
Holland College; and
Collège de l’Île.
The province has noted that, at this time, individuals in the sales and service sector may not receive invitations.

Using PEI’s Workforce Program Selector Tool to choose the right stream
Newcomers interested in PEI’s provincial immigration options can start with PEI’s Workforce Program Selector Tool.
The tool is designed in a survey format to direct interested candidates toward the PEI provincial workforce pathways they may be eligible for, based on PEI’s current program criteria. To determine this, users will be asked a series of questions about factors such as their:
Age;
Education;
Work Experience; and
Current job offers (if applicable).
According to PEI, the tool is meant to be suggestive only—a quick way to gauge potential fit and help you navigate which stream to explore next.
The province suggests a practical approach for newcomers looking for the best stream for them is to:
Complete the selector to see which Workforce pathways match your profile; then
Review the official requirements in PEI’s Workforce Application Guide for full instructions and program criteria before you submit an EOI or application.
