For candidates with a CRS score of 476, they had to have created their profile on or before  May 28, 2026 at 16:55:23 UTC.

Foreign nationals who are in Canada and have applied for permanent residence through Express Entry may be eligible for a Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP).

If the work permit they currently hold expires before a decision is issued on the BOWP, maintained status can preserve their work authorization under the same conditions, provided they continue to reside in Canada.

Qualifying family members can also apply for an open work permit.
